Domestic Violence

Code of Virginia §18.2-57.2, Assault & Battery against a family or household member.   The Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office takes domestic violence incidents very seriously.  We work in partnership with other agencies in our community to assist victims of domestic violence. 

 If you need protection the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office will assist you in obtaining a protective order that will prohibit your abuser from making any contact with you for up to two years.     If you have any questions or need assistance with any matter relating to Domestic Violence please call our Victim Witness Unit at 804-693-4995.
