The Daffodil Festival Committee is dedicated to the community of Gloucester.  They are an active group of volunteers and they share their time, energy and resources with many local groups, organizations and events.

Gloucester Citizen's Christmas and Holiday Parade

Held on the first Saturday of December the Gloucester Citizen's Christmas and Holiday Parade is the official start of the holiday season in Gloucester.  The Daffodil Festival Committee has sponsored floats in the parade including the very important "Santa" float.  When funds were needed for trophies for parade winners, the Daffodil Festival Committee stepped forward to sponsor the parade.

Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism offers a free, open to the public,  summer concert series on the lawn of the Courtcircle.  Performers are all Volunteers!  When military bands volunteer to perform, the Daffodil Festival Committee has volunteered to "show some good ole' southern hospitality" and organize a picnic dinner for the performers.  Photo: the USAF Rhythm in Blue Jazz Ensemble members having a Picnic on the Green before a Concert on the Green.  The food was donated by Daffodil Festival Committee Members.
