Interested in going fishing but not sure how things are looking at Beaverdam?  We have the answer!  The Beaverdam Fishing Dock Live Camera is a real-time look at the lake.  This will help you make that fishing decision!

Programs meet at the Park's Main Entrance unless otherwise noted. Registration is taken at the Ranger Station or On-line.

NATURE EXPLORERS

For ages 10-13. Outdoor exploration program, fun & learning as we paddle the lake in canoes, hike the trails, learn about GPS & investigate the habitats that make Beaverdam so special. A wet & dirty experience so dress accordingly. Topics: canoeing, outdoor survival & construction of nature projects. 717306–03, Mon-Fri, 9 am-Noon, 7/12-7/16, $55

NATURE EXPLORERS JUNIOR

For ages 6-9. Outdoor exploration program, fun & learning as we paddle the lake in canoes, hike the trails & investigate the habitats that make Beaverdam so special. A wet & dirty experience so dress accordingly. Topics: canoeing, outdoor survival & construction of nature projects. Mon-Fri, 9am-Noon, Session 1-717406–03, 7/26, Session 2-717406-04, 8/2, $40/session. Sessions are identical in content.

ducks graphicPOLICY AT BEAVERDAM PARK

Beaverdam Park does not allow supplemental food for the ducks and geese.  Feeding wild animals can accelerate the spread of disease and alter animal behavior.  Most food items people offer to wildlife are not nutritious and can interfere with good growth and development.  This can contribute to numerous health problems within wildlife populations.  As we have been seeing at the park, supplemental feeding can lead to overcrowding of waterfowl populations.  In an effort to manage the waterfowl population at Beaverdam Park we will stop selling corn to feed the ducks and geese.  We ask that for the health of our waterfowl population, the public stop providing supplemental feed as well.  Please stop by the Ranger Station and pick up a copy of our brochure, The Impact of Feeding Wildlife, for more information on this new policy.
